Origins of Daughters of the Arts
Although the title, “Daughters of the Arts” can
be extended to incorporate any practicing female martial artist,
the organization’s title is actually a direct reference
to the origins of it’s co-founders Jena Inay and Ginger
Dunn. Both women were born into families where their father’s
were organizers and founders of their own arts, Inayan System
of Eskrima and Mizu-ryu Ju-jitsu, respectively.
Daughters of the Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated
to the promotion of women in the martial arts. Our forum meetings
are designed to inspire and motivate our members to be the strongest
they can be both in their personal lives and in their martial
arts training. Not only will we have motivational guest speakers,
but we will also address personal concerns unique to female martial
artists. As a nonprofit organization we are dedicated to giving
back to the martial arts community through fundraisers and martial
arts scholarships. Our biggest event of the year will be a seminar
that features female martial arts instructors.
